Slaney River Trust Slaney River Trust Ltd. is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and seeking new members to join in support of its Project which is aimed at recovery of the valuable Slaney salmon stock.
Nore Salmon is a new site from Jim Brown. Jim has spent a lifetime fishing the lower
reaches of the Nore and is an excellent guide to the area.
Barriers Report The Nore Suir River Trust commissioned a report on the barriers to salmonid migration in the River Nore. This report was funded by the Office of Public Works, carried out by Alan Sullivan, Bsc. and completed in June 2007. To date the Trust has been unable to open dialogue with the Southern Regional Fishery Board on mitigating these barriers. This is a very large file (about 13MB), and may take several minutes to upload, depending on the speed of your internet connection. We recommend starting download, and then making a cup of tea while it progresses!
